Welcome to my blog! I created this site in 2008 to provide a place for showcasing my photos and to provide information or links helpful to other photographers. As time has passed, I've added music videos and information as well. I will occasionally make comments, but will not preach or keep anyone from making comments of their own. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I love the feedback! My goal is to make this website a regular destination for anyone who loves photography and music and wants to see what I've been up to.

YOU CAN LEAVE A COMMENT AT THE END OF ANY OF MY POSTS (all comments are moderated before publishing)

Near the bottom of this page and the other pages are the words,"OLDER POSTS". Click on that and you can then continue to the previous page. Another quick way to view the whole blog is to click on any of the subjects on the right side of the page in the BLOG ARCHIVE. Thank you for visiting!

MORE OF ANGELINA JORDAN

Hope you have had a chance to listen to her sing.  Last April, I posted a couple of her songs.  She is eight years old now and has won Norway's Got Talent.  Listen again and hear her even  more mature performance of Billy Holiday's "What a Difference A Day Makes".  (It may take a while to load up but it's worth the wait. Afterwards, find "Summertime" and listen to that one too!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSfgCIGd7k4

WOODSTOCK

In today's times, when it seems the whole world is at war, I listened to a recording by Eva Cassidy singing "Woodstock".  I wonder if it's time once again to have a music festival and a gathering of souls whose only goal is to enjoy life and strive for peace and love.

In 1969, there was such a music festival.  It was held at Max Yasgur's 600-acre dairy farm in the Catskills near the hamlet of White Lake in the town of Bethel, New York, from August 15 to 18, 1969. Bethel, in Sullivan County, is 43 miles (69 km) southwest of the town of Woodstock, New York, in adjoining Ulster County.  Among the 32 performers was a group called Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. In 1970 the movie, "Woodstock" was released. Read the below lyrics, written by Joni Mitchell, then click on the link below to watch and listen to Eva Cassidy's beautiful cover of the song.

PS - I've added another link below showing actual film of the Woodstock Festival with background music of Crosby, Stills and Nash's original version of the song.

WOODSTOCK

I came upon a child of God
He was walking along the road
And I asked him, "Tell me where are you going?
This he told me

Said, "I'm going down to Yasgur's farm
Gonna join in a rock and roll band
Got to get back to the land
And get my soul free

We are stardust, we're golden
And we've got to get ourselves
Back to the garden

Can I walk along beside you?
I have come here to lose the smog
And I feel like Im a part
Of something turning round and round

And maybe its the time of year
Maybe it's the time of man
And I don't know who I am
But life is for learning

We are stardust, we are golden
And we've got to get ourselves
Back to the garden

By the time we got to Woodstock
We were half a million strong
And everywhere was the song
And the celebration

And I dreamed I saw the bomber jet planes
Firing shot into the sky
Turning into butterflies
Above our nation

We are stardust, we are golden
And we've got to get ourselves
Back to the garden

What To Do After All the Beer is Gone

We've all been there some time in our lives.  Big party or cookout and what do you do with all those empty beer bottles afterwards?  Throw them away (good)?  Recycle them (better)?  Or......(click below link)
